A Letter to the Drinking Community

We wanted to start a wine club at the store, not the sort of wine club that collects dues and ships bottles of wine in the mail but the kind of wine club that meets in person to, well, drink wine. We started recruiting members and sent out a newsletter. Here's the first:

Hello Neighbors,

Thanks for signing up for our wine newsletter. We're calling it the LeBeau Wine Club, and we're going to have meetings too (see below)! Hopefully through this newsletter and our Facebook and Twitter pages we can establish an open dialogue with you guys to make sure we're stocking what you like to drink. Our goal is to provide you with great wines at outstanding values, many in the $8-15 range. While the main focus of this newsletter is wine, other news from the store and deli can be found on our facebook/twitter pages so be sure to check those out.

Last month Chameleon Cafe (1299 Pacific) was kind enough to let us use their space to host a wine tasting. Thanks to those of you who made it out, it was a great time. For those who weren't able to make it, don't worry, we are trying to make this a monthly event. We're still ironing out some details with Chameleon and a few vendors but we're aiming to have a wine tasting the last Wednesday of every month. It's a free event so there's really no reason you shouldn't come down and have a glass(es) of wine and hang out for a bit. We're going to try new stuff and if you guys like it, we'll carry it. Maybe we can turn it into some sort of game and vote off wines to make room for new ones, who know's we're still pretty new at this. Anyway, March 30th, Chameleon Cafe - Free Wine Tasting.
